Lounge Lizards The time – fall of 1974. I had just left an alt-rock band started during my college days with Bruce Sundstrom and Bob Lockhart and I was eager to link up with another BHS alumnus Ted McKee. Ted could sing, play guitar with the best of them, and had stage presence. We had designs on breaking into the pub and small club scene and I decided we need a professional looking wardrobe. When approached about wearing matching outfits Ted gave me a pained expression as if I had offered him a public colonoscopy. After some prodding on my part (har, har) Ted relented. But, we had no money. Fortunately, I had a credit card so off to the old Sears store in Buckhead we went to purchase the outfits shown in the accompanying photograph. An interesting aside – in the aisle next to us at Sears was Dennis Yost of the Classics Four fame shopping alongside his wife. Kinda “Spooky”, huh?
